Sheila Foster's son Corey, 16, perished when staff members at a special needs facility in Yonkers, New York held him deal with down for presumably declining to obtain off the basketball court. (ABC News). Hundreds of autistic and disabled schoolchildren have been wounded and lots have perished after being restrained by inadequately trained instructors and school assistants who attempted to subdue them making use of at times unduly harsh strategies, an ABC News examination has discovered. Without agreed upon nationwide requirements for how instructors could restrain an unmanageable kid, school officials around the nation have been employing a wide range of approaches that range from sitting on kids, to handcuffing them, even jolting them with an electric shock at one specialized school. Some have secured kids in padded rooms for hours at a time.

Key:

  • Aggregate Sentiment is meant to be an indicator of an individual's overall sentiment.
  • The Mean is meant to be an indicator of an individual's average comment sentiment.
  • The Standard Deviation, when there are enough quotes, will indicate an individual's consistency of sentiment (i.e. a Standard Deviation of 0 would mean they were very consistent in their sentiment and 1 would mean they were very inconsistent).

Note that quote stats are likely to be meaningless beyond the aggregate score due to the tiny sample size. However, they are always provided just in case you find something useful there.
